Katelyn Cox

Level 3 Beam Coach

I’m Katelyn, and I have been involved in competitive gymnastics for over 10 years. I competed level 4 my first year in gymnastics at the age of 8 in Louisiana. My family moved to southern Indiana the summer of 2007 when I joined Champion Gymnastics as a level 8. I qualified to level 9 Eastern Nationals in 2011 and 2012 by placing in the top three in the all-around at regionals both years. I placed fourth on bars, second on beam, and third in the all-around at nationals in 2011, and was the national beam champion in 2012. In 2013, I was the level 10 Kentucky State Champion. After graduating from high school in 2014, I retired from gymnastics and began coaching. I coached the level 3’s last season and am now coaching the 2’s. I am currently working towards a degree in chemical engineering at UofL’s Speed School of Engineering on a full tuition academic scholarship. In the little spare time I have, I enjoy hanging around with family and being outdoors. I’m so excited to have the opportunity to share my passion for gymnastics with the young athletes I get to coach! You may contact me at katelyn.cox@louisville.edu
